As the Director of Venture Development at Clean Energy Trust (CET), Paul’s primary responsibilities include sourcing and vetting investment opportunities, coordinating CET’s Investment Committee, and managing and supporting the organization’s portfolio. Paul primarily focuses on startups in solar, energy storage, energy efficiency, and mobility. He serves as a board director for GreenLancer and a board observer for AllCell Technologies, Idle Smart, Igor, Lotic Labs, NETenergy, Nexmatix, and Sun Number. He also formerly served as a board observer for SPLT until its acquisition by The Robert Bosch Company in 2017.
Paul was recognized by the Midwest Energy News in the “40-Under-40” class of 2017. Since 2014 he has served as a mentor at the Summer Institute on Sustainability and Energy (SISE) at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Prior to joining CET, Paul oversaw business development for Applied Thin Films, Inc., an advanced materials company developing ceramic coatings and composites for the energy, aerospace, and defense industries. Paul completed his undergraduate studies in economics at the University of Michigan and earned an MBA with honors from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.TwitterLinkedIn
