As the Director of Venture Development at Clean Energy Trust (CET), Paul Seidler works directly with startups, large corporations, investors, and other industry stakeholders to support the development and deployment of innovative clean energy technologies and business models. Paul’s primary responsibilities at CET include managing venture development services for startups, overseeing the organization’s investment portfolio, evaluating and diligencing deal flow in partnership with CET’s Investment Committee, and sourcing innovation for CET’s corporate clients via the Cleantech Innovation Bridge. In managing CET’s portfolio, Paul primarily focuses on startups in the solar, energy storage, and efficiency sectors, serving as a board director for GreenLancer and a board observer for All Cell Technologies, NETenergy, Sun Number, Design Flux Technologies, Igor, and Nexmatix.
Since 2014, Paul has served as a mentor at the Summer Institute on Sustainability and Energy (SISE) at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Prior to joining CET, Paul oversaw business development for Applied Thin Films, Inc., an advanced materials company developing ceramic coatings and composites for the energy, aerospace, and defense industries.
