George Johnson

Program Manager

George first joined Clean Energy Trust as an analyst intern in June 2014, following his graduation from the University of Florida with a B.A. in History. He now assists the team in executing its venture development activities, coalition-building efforts, technology platform management, and social media outreach.

While at UF, George spent a year “studying” abroad in Spain and worked with American Efficient, a San Francisco Bay Area web & mobile-enabled service provider to the energy sector, in which he collaborated in the company’s policy development and product analytics. George also worked at Business of Culture, a London management consultancy active across the UK’s cultural sector, and managed The Africa Centre, an organization promoting African culture across the African Diaspora, while boosting its exposure across London during the 2012 Summer Olympics.

George is passionate about sustainable urban development, sports, and traveling and is a proud member of Chicago’s sparse Sri Lankan-American community.
