Clean Jobs Midwest is a comprehensive clean energy employment survey covering the 12 Midwest states that will be released in early 2016. This project builds on the work of prior clean energy jobs surveys, such as the Clean Jobs Illinois survey that has been released by CET in each of the last two years.
This project covers 12 states in the Midwest (Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Missouri, Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, and Indiana). Clean Jobs Midwest provides detailed demographic and technology sub-sector information on clean energy sector employment in the state, and also includes overall clean energy employment information at the state, metropolitan statistical area, county, and state legislative district levels.
This report helps build the database required to develop new policies and improve old ones to foster clean tech innovation and entrepreneurship.
Clean Energy Trust has developed Clean Jobs Midwest with support from The Joyce Foundation, Energy Foundation, The McKnight Foundation, and E2 to tell the story of the region’s clean energy sector. Survey research for this report was conducted by BW Research Partnership, a national leader in workforce and economic development research.
